Rhythm Tapp Instructor

Jen MacQueen serves as the instructor of Rhythm Tap at PW. Jen’s professional career as a performer and choreographer spans over 20 years and reaches from Off-Broadway to National Tours to numerous Regional Theaters. As a performer, Jen has performed in productions Pre-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway, Off-Broadway productions of Vaudeville 2000 and The Elegance and Comedy of Tap, which she also choreographed. She also appeared in the National Tour of Promises, Promises and recent Regional Theater productions of Cats, Chicago, Phantom, Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls, Godspell, Sophisticated Ladies, and Smoke on the Mountain, just to name a few. In addition to Off-Broadway productions of Vaudeville 2000 and The Elegance and Comedy of Tap, she has also choreographed such productions as Off-Off Broadway’s The Broadway Dance Performance Outlet, National Tours of Red Hot and Cole and Promises, Promises, and Regional productions of The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, A Chorus Line, Mary Poppins, Barnum, Dante’s Inferno (Cyr portions), Singin’ in the Rain, Sweet Charity, Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, Smokey Joe’s Café, Cabaret, Annie Get Your Gun, Illyria,  Fiddler On the Roof, Chicago, High Society, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Company, Cabaret, Anything Goes, Guys & Dolls, Tuesdays with Morrie, Pippin, and Evening of Fosse. She has won 11 Spotlight Awards for her work as a performer ad choreographer in NYC, a Suzi Bass Award for her work on Mary Poppins in ATL, and several Broadway World and Atlanta Theatre Fan Awards, and two Woodie Awards for her work on The World Goes Round and Pippin. In addition, after discovering the art of Roue Cyr, or Cyr Wheel, Jen dedicated a portion of her time to the Circus Arts and now runs Akrosphere Aerial & Circus Arts, teaching Aerial Silks, Cyr Wheel, Lyra, Trapeze, and Acrobatics. Jen is a Professor of Dance at Kennesaw State University, where she teaches Rhythm Tap, Musical Theatre Dance, and Jazz, and continues to perform, choreograph, workshop, and instruct across the greater Atlanta area.
