It is always our goal at The Performer’s Warehouse to provide the best possible Performing Arts Education to our students. That’s why our team is filled with educated, experienced theatre professionals; why we train our dancers on soft marley dance floors; and why we house a program like the College Audition Project to help students prepare for and complete the college audition process. We are constantly changing and upgrading to meet our students’ needs and to keep up with new technology in this every-growing field.
In next growing season, we would like to upgrade some of our technical equipment. We have generous friends in the arts who have let us borrow speakers, lighting, a sound board, microphones, and many other items, but we want to make sure that our students have access to not only use these items on stage, but to take classes that will allow them the opportunity to learn lighting design, sound design, and other areas of technical theatre.
This summer, we have set a fundraising goal of $3,000 and we are asking our community partners, theatre family, and giving friends to help us “Let It Shine”. We will be hosting tons of fundraising events all summer long, including our Summer Screen Series with Musical Tuesday Nights and Family Saturday Matinees; beginner’s theatre one-week camps called “Seuss in the Summer” and “Disney Heroes”; an Emerging Artist Cabaret; multiple workshops with guest professionals; a community craft festival; and closing with a two week run of The Last Five Years as a part of our Emerging Artists Series.
We can’t wait to share these events with you and we thank you in advance for your support this summer!
